Majestic Tattoo NYC is the tattoo and art studio of veteran New York tattooist artist Adal Ray. The focus is to explore experimental, unique and transformative body art projects. Adal’s goal is to provide collectors access to original, modern and holistic tattoo art in New York City.
Majestic Tattoo NYC originated in Tribeca in 2011 at 67 Franklin St near Manhattan City Hall. This location was blocks from the world’s first ever tattoo shop in Chatham Square. In 2014 the studio relocated to 1086 Broadway, Brooklyn. The stores were recognized as some of the best modern art and psychedelic tattoo studios in New York City. Both locations also functioned as modest art galleries, featuring works by local and international artists. In 2021, during the Global Pandemic, Adal closed the walk in, street level shop to pursue the next phase of his artistic journey. Majestic Tattoo NYC now operates as a private, appointment based tattoo studio in Downtown Manhattan. The space is thoughtfully curated to maximize client comfort and effectuate Adal’s holistic art process.
